Manitex CE marks two cranes |
|
|
|
Cranes Today, 05 January 09
Manitex has prepared two of its cranes for CE certification, allowing them to be sold in the EU.
Manitex has prepared two of its cranes for CE
certification, allowing them to be sold in the
EU. The company says it plans, initially, to
sell 40 US t and 50 US t models in central and
eastern Europe. It showed a 50 US t boom truck
as ConExpo Russia in September.
CE marking certifies that the manufacturer has
built the crane in line with the EU Machinery
Directive. Manitex president and CEO Andrew
Rooke said, The certification with the CE mark
of our 40 US t and 50 US t cranes opens the
European market to our distribution and provides
additional competitive support in markets where
certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Direct marketing, as well as the identification
of suitable European dealers, has already
commenced and we believe our cranes will provide
a competitive solution against European truck
cranes traditionally used in these territories. |
