What is Manitex International’s business?
Manitex International, Inc. is a leading North American manufacturer of engineered lifting equipment that operates in the $110 billion U.S. industrial machinery industry. The Company’s Manitex division is a major player in the $400 million North American Boom Truck Industry. The Manitex family includes: Manitex Boom Trucks, SkyCrane Aerial Platforms / Sign Cranes, and USTC Trolley Boom Products. The Manitex Liftking division manufactures a complete line of rough terrain forklifts and special mission oriented vehicles, as well as other specialized carriers, heavy material handling transporters and steel mill equipment which are utilized in the commercial and military markets. In third quarter 2007, Manitex Liftking acquired the Noble rough-terrain forklift product line, which adds breadth to the existing Liftking rough-terrain forklift product line and provides access to Noble’s established dealer network. The current mix of revenues consists of 75% Manitex and 25% Liftking.

 

What is Manitex International’s corporate structure?
Since going public in July 2006, Manitex International closed on the acquisition of Liftking in November 2006 and Noble rough-terrain forklift business in August 2007 and sold the “legacy” automotive testing and assembly equipment business in July 2007. The company expects to make additional acquisitions within the specialized heavy lifting segment in order to achieve its long-term growth objectives. The company’s current business has nothing to do with Manitex International’s former automotive testing and assembly business.
